Yes. Travelyst includes all functionality you would expect to find in a Tour Operator or Travel Management System. Itinerary building, booking confirmations, documentation, payment tracking and reporting are all built into Travelyst. New features and functions are constantly being added as the industry changes and the demands of the Travelyst client base dictates.

No, Travelyst is browser-based so you only need an internet connection.
How long does it take to start using the system?
Access to the system is immediate, but to ensure an easy migration, a period of approximately one month is recommended for the initial email configuration, website integration and customisations.
How long will it take to get to know the system?
We have found that individual users become familiar with the system within the first day of using it. It’s simple to learn and the learning curve is minimal.
What sort of support structures do I need to put in place?
Travelyst has a dedicated support service, however it is recommended that the role of product champion is assigned to certain employees (normally team leaders) who know the system well and can assist other consultants with any general functionality questions they may have.

What type of support is available?
A dedicated support service is available to answer any of your technical queries. In addition, our highly trained support staff will make periodic site visits, at no cost to you. These visits will address any concerns, questions or suggestions you or your team may have. This allows you to work alongside someone who understands your specific business requirements and with whom you can build a professional relationship.
Do I have to pay for support?
No. Technical support is included in your monthly Travelyst subscription.
Will my data be safe and backed up?
Absolutely. Each organisation we work with has its own separate database which is secure, private and is backed up on a regular basis.
Who owns my data and what happens if I cancel my contract?
You own your data and a backup of your database will be provided to you, should you choose to cancel your subscription.
Will I still use my usual email systems and accounts?
Yes. From within Travelyst you can send any email directly to your client or supplier using your regular email address and account. You can also send standardised template emails that you have created, that use data relevant to each individual client enquiry. In addition, you can also attach fact sheets, generated quotes and other documents. Incoming emails will arrive in your regular email system and can then be loaded to Travelyst with a single action.
Can Travelyst integrate with my accounting system?
Yes. Travelyst can provide batched accounting transactions to be loaded into any accounting system. Travelyst is fully integrated with Xero Accounting.
Can Travelyst integrate with my website?
Yes. Travelyst seamlessly integrates with your website by providing you with the functionality to incorporate your web based enquiries directly into the system.
Can Travelyst interface to my payment gateway?
Yes. Travelyst currently integrates with Payfast. If your payment gateway has broad based application, it could be incorporated at no additional cost to you.
Does Travelyst integrate with WeTu?
Yes. Travelyst is currently integrated with WeTu and allows you to populate online itinerary forms that can easily be shared with your clients.
What if I need something that is not currently part of the system?
If your customisation is broad-based and general in nature, Travelyst will incorporate it at no cost to you. However, if your customisation is business specific, it will be assessed and quoted on accordingly.
Can I customise Travelyst to retain my brand identity?
Yes. Specific documents, colour schemes and email signatures are incorporated into your Travelyst system, allowing you to retain the look and feel of your brand.
What if I don’t like the standard documents the system produces?
Our professionally designed standard quote documents have been unanimously praised and welcomed by all our existing clients. However, in the unlikely event that you opt to tailor your own quote documents, these can be submitted to us and we will integrate them into the Travelyst system (at a preapproved fee).
Will I have to pay for future enhancements?
At Travelyst we work tirelessly to accommodate our clients’ general needs as part of our day to day service. Should you have any additional requirements that fall outside of this offering, these requests will be assessed and quoted on accordingly.

Travelyst was developed and is maintained and supported by ViaData. A privately-owned software company that has been in operation since 1990, developing custom software solutions for a wide array of small to large businesses. ViaData has also been working in the travel industry since 2009 and knows the terrain very well. This experience and industry specific background allows ViaData to assess their clients’ needs and subsequently offer fast, efficient and easy to use solutions.
How much does Travelyst Cost?

Volume discounts are available if you have more than 30 users.
What happens if the number of employees using the system changes?
User access is in your control; this allows you to add and remove users as necessary. Therefore, you and your employees will never have limited system access due to license restrictions. We will track how many active users you have each month and bill you accordingly based on users for the previous month. Should your user base increase, you will only be billed in the following month for these new users.
Do I have to sign a contract?
An agreement clarifying responsibilities and data ownership is signed at the beginning of the service and is automatically renewed on a month-to-month basis, payable a month in advance. Should you wish to cancel your contract you can do so before the start of the following month.
Can I get a trial version?
To get the full benefit from Travelyst it must be configured and fitted to your specific business. This includes email configuration and website integration. Therefore, a trial version is unfortunately not available. However, we will provide you with an in-depth demonstration to help you make an informed decision.
Are there any additional costs?
No. However, should you have an existing product, service or information that you wish to migrate into your Travelyst database, we will provide you with a detailed quote before we do any additional customisation. That way you will know exactly how much your tailor-made solutions will cost before any work commences.
